The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Kaweah Flotilla was patrolling the lake during the 5th Annual Lake Kaweah Trout + Derby. A portion of the proceeds from the Derby benefitted the USCG Flotilla.

Richard Latronico , pictured here by his boat, was the organizer of this weekend 5th Annual Lake Kaweah Trout Derby. A portion of the proceeds from the Derby benefitted the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Kaweah Flotilla whom assist boaters in distress on Lake Kaweah.
Many fished from the shore during the 2015 Lake Kaweah Trout Derby held on May 16th and 17th.
